Our SPRINGS project partner Rasmus Benestad from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute | Meteorologisk institutt recently gave an insightful presentation at the EMS Webinar “Distilling reliable, robust, and relevant information from global climate models for climate adaptation.”

In his talk, now available in replay, Rasmus shared how a geoscientific downscaling strategy developed over 20 years enables practitioners to extract robust, decision-ready climate signals from global climate model output.

He also introduced new metrics to assess model performance and regional relevance, contributing to better-informed adaptation decisions.

The session featured results from the SPRINGS project 💧
